Jim's Testimony

Hi Doug,

Feel free to invite anyone interested in the wind turbine to stop in any time. I keep a busy schedule, but would be happy to explain my experience owning a wind turbine if I am around.

Occasionly, people have stopped in to
talk about it. I find that often people don't understand that there are not any batteries needed in a grid connect system and that excess power can be sold to the power company. I try to explain it by simply saying that the power company is serving the same purpose as a battery.

I think that many people are interested in wind energy, but few pursue it any further. Also, there is not many people that are able to finance the upfront costs of installing a wind turbine, even though most of it is a one time expense and the "fuel" is free. I know many businesses in the area are having a difficult time collecting money from their customers, so I would also be careful about getting paid from someone that you sell anything to.

And yes, people do not realize how dependant they are on fossil fuels and are not prepared for the inevitable consequences. Especially with our President doing everything possible to start trouble and raise prices (profits) for himself and his oil buddies.

Will write again soon,
Jim
